London UK — 7/28/2004 – Entertainment software developer and publisher NovaLogic, Ltd. today announced their groundbreaking new multiplayer FPS title Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising will now be a regular league fixture at Interactive Gaming UK (IGUK), the UK association of LAN Gaming Centres.
Joint Operations will be the only game being played every Tuesday in over 70 gaming IGUK centres around the UK, with gamers competing for a total prize pot of £250 cash every week.
Players at IGUK gaming centres will be randomly placed together in teams of 75 to compete within dedicated 150-player Novaworld Servers sponsored by Jolt.
After the games are concluded, all participants are awarded virtual raffle tickets and cash prizes are then instantly awarded to lucky gamers. The better the participants compete during the game, the more raffle tickets they are awarded, so even a new player stands a chance of winning prizes!
This Frag Lotto concept is based on IGUK's new style league formats introduced earlier this year, with players winning £50 every night of the week. Joint Operations was so popular that the prize fund has been increased exclusively for this game.
